"Source Global; Distribute
Local" Workshop Helps Firms Maximize Profits by Sharing
Proven Execution Strategies
May 4, 2004
Profitable, concrete and highly successful execution strategies
are shared -- while highlighting the pitfalls that could cause
execution disasters -- at DC Expo's "Source Global; Distribute
Local," seminar on Tuesday, May 21 from 3:00 to 4:00
p.m. (session # 507). Industry-leading experts, William (Bill)
Murry of Import/Export Systems & Operations, LLC and Ned
Blinick of Blinco Systems, offer insights on optimizing the
global supply chain while squeezing inefficient inventory
and redundancies from the pipeline. This session benefits
those attendees interested in the global supply chain, distribution,
transportation, logistics and B2B issues.
Bill Murray noted, "The only way to
insure goods can move smoothly across borders and meet critical
distribution schedules is by managing all parties effectively
and proactively. The common medium is information. Information
is what provides visibility into the entire supply chain.
Managing information -- and doing it well -- is today's overwhelming
challenge."
Edward (Ned) Blinick, Mr. Murry's co-presenter
and VP of Blinco Systems Inc., said, "Managing the global
pipeline requires total control over suppliers, customs, freight
forwarders, consolidators, truckers, ocean and air carriers
… and customers. Execution capability is the key to
unlocking the riches, or profits, from any company's supply
chain."
