Blinco Systems has released its first vertical-specific version of its wholesale distribution application, 3rdwave. 3rdwave Food is targeted at food sourcing and distribution companies and includes food-specific functionality for lot, production, and end-date control as well as a decision-support cost-control feature that calculates total landed costs at the time of purchase to help food distribution companies manage their revenue margins. Blinco plans to roll out other vertical-specific versions for the Retail, CPG, and Metals industries by the end of the year.
